I'm from Macon, Georgia originally so I definitely grew up with Duane Allman and the Allman Brothers Band....the city practically gave away their music to every household..haha. He had his wreck around the corner from the Piggly Wiggly my mom worked at though.....sad.

I've been meaning to get that Mob Hits myself. I actually made my own a few years ago and I titled the CD's..."Mob Hits".

I LOVE Van Morrison but I didn't get into him 'till I lived in England back in the late 80's....

I'm a huge Dire Straits fan and Mark is such a talented song writer. Mary Chapin Carpenter re did one of his songs a few years ago...."Sometimes you're the windshield...sometimes you're the bug.." If you've never listened to her...you should get some of her stuff...she's not traditional country but her song writing is awesome.

We have our stereo going constantly around here and like you I don't play any instrument but I appreciate all kinds of music. My daughter plays the viola and flute. I'd like to think it's because her Dad and I introduced her to music and we actually have conversations around here about musicians...sometimes they get heated though..hahaha...

Like my husband gets pissy about Robert Plant. According to him...the man should have died or given up music all together after Led Zeppelin..he's not ever going to forgive that guy "The Honeydrippers".. :)
